As a designer, Karen experiments with light, sound, sets and costumes to create designs for theatre and television. This process can develop into a theatrical performance, or stills can be manipulated through print to stand as two dimensional individual designs.

Working in from two dimension, either in print or embroidery, Karen uses her textile construction skills to create three dimensional works for fashion and fashion accessories.
